How algo bot results are measured
Every strategy on Perpex is measured forward on a paper account against live Hyperliquid prices. This page defines each published number and its limits.
What is measured
Each strategy is measured in a forward dry run on a paper account using live Hyperliquid prices. The results include fees and funding; no real orders are placed. Each strategy page shows that bot’s measurement start date.
The strategies are rule-based: they follow entry and exit rules fixed in advance.
Return
Total return is the change in the paper account's value since the start date, after fees and funding, including open positions at their latest valuation. The last-30-days return compounds the account's cumulative return at both ends of the window.
Each strategy page shows the size of its paper account. Returns are percentages of that account, not of single trades.
Drawdown
Max drop over 30 days is the largest fall of the account value from a running high within the last 30 days, with open positions marked at their latest valuation. It shows how deep a losing stretch went, not how long it lasted.
Win rate and closed trades
Win rate counts closed trades only: winning closed trades as a share of winning and losing closed trades. Breakeven trades are left out.
Open positions are not counted, so a strategy can show a high win rate while one of its open positions is at a loss. That is why strategy pages show the worst open position next to the win rate.
Open positions
Open positions are valued at the latest price the measurement service reports. On the hub, their marks also update from live Hyperliquid mid prices between reports; those live marks are for display only and do not change the recorded results. Leverage is included: a 3× position moves three times as much as the market.
Fills, fees and funding
Paper fills use the prices observed when each signal fires. Trading fees and funding payments are deducted from the results.
A live bot can fill at different prices because of slippage, latency and order book depth, so live results will differ from the paper record. Past results do not predict future returns.
Strategy provider
Strategies are provided by Ceteris. Each strategy is measured in a forward dry run on a paper account using live Hyperliquid prices. The results include fees and funding; no real orders are placed. Each strategy page shows that bot’s measurement start date.
