How Hyperliquid prediction markets work

HIP-4 outcome markets run on Hyperliquid's own order book; Perpex is the trading interface. Read the HIP-4 guide

What does the percentage on a market mean?

It is the current Yes price in cents, which traders read as a probability. A Yes share bought at 62¢ pays $1 if the outcome happens and nothing if it does not. Prices are set by traders on the order book, not by Perpex.

What does “touches” mean for a price market?

A touch market resolves Yes as soon as the 3-second TWAP of the asset's Hyperliquid mark price reaches the level, at any time before the deadline. It can settle early, the moment the level is touched. “Above” markets only look at the price at the closing time.

How are results decided?

Each market lists its rules and resolution source on its page. Price markets settle on Hyperliquid's own mark price; event markets use the official source named in their rules, such as the Federal Reserve's published decision.

Can I sell before the result?

Yes. Shares can be sold back to the order book at the current price while the market is open. The minimum order is $10 of shares.

What can I lose?

Everything you paid for shares on the losing side. There is no leverage and no liquidation: the most you can lose is the amount you spent.

Prediction markets carry the risk of losing the full amount spent on shares. Prices are probabilities set by traders, not forecasts by Perpex. Markets are created and settled on Hyperliquid; Perpex does not run or resolve them. Availability may be restricted in some jurisdictions.
