How to copy trade on Hyperliquid with Perpex
Connect a wallet, review a public trader, set allocation and risk limits, and check authorization, collateral and fees before starting Hyperliquid copy trading.
Connect your wallet, then complete Hyperliquid agent authorization and builder fee approval. The app confirms these steps against the connected owner before enabling execution.
Explore public trader profiles, review the selected trader and the available performance data, then choose allocation and risk settings. Check your available collateral and the cost components on the fees page before confirming.
Copy execution depends on current account mode, supported market and available collateral. Provider markets may require an owner-signed Hyperliquid Unified Account transition. If a step is unavailable, the app should show the reason; no trade is placed by reading this guide.
Replication can differ from the trader’s fills because of timing, price, liquidity, fees and risk limits. You can manage or stop an active relationship in the app.
Setup checklist
- Connect a wallet and check the owner address shown in the app.
- Authorize a Hyperliquid agent key for trading. Agent keys can place orders but cannot withdraw funds.
- Sign the Perpex builder fee approval on Hyperliquid.
- Keep enough USDC collateral in your own Hyperliquid account.
- Choose a trader, set allocation and risk limits, then confirm.
Managing an active relationship
Replicated orders are placed in your own Hyperliquid account and sit alongside any other positions you hold. Check open positions, margin usage and funding regularly. If collateral runs short or a market is not supported, some of the trader's activity may not be replicated, so your results can differ from the trader's. The trader's past performance is not a forecast of your results.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to deposit funds with Perpex?
No. Collateral stays in your own Hyperliquid account; Perpex does not take custody of funds.
Why do I need to authorize an agent key?
An agent key lets orders be signed for your account without asking your wallet to confirm every replicated trade. It can place orders but cannot withdraw funds.
Can I stop copying a trader?
Yes. You can stop an active relationship in the app. Stopping prevents new replicated orders; review any positions that remain open in your account.
